Chris decided that Saturday was a perfect day to have everyone over for a pool party. The only problem is that he wasn't going in the pool. We soon fixed that, and chris found himself swimming fully clothed! The day sure was alot of fun, and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.  Posted by Picasa

On Friday, some of the students who came to Germany with me decided to have a little get together so we could swap photos and catch up on what's been happening since returning from Germany. Leon, Mauris, Diana and Linda are seen here re-living past of our trip with a bottle of ouzo and a some jagermeister. Fun times. I was driving that night, so I was unable to sample any of the drinks.  Posted by Picasa

Getting back into the rut

As you can see from all the photos, my holiday up the east coast was nice and sunny. There were lots of chances to sit around and soak up the sun, but I was very good and wore sunscreen most of the time. When we arrived back from Sydney, I went to Phillip Island and Mirboo North with Chris. The weather was colder, but somehow I managed to get burned! I can never win..
The reason for our trip to Mirboo North was for a 21st birthday. One of my close friends from primary school had his birthday party with his twin sister. They moved to Mirboo North when I was in about grade 5 or 6 I think. Since then, I have really only seen him a couple times. Mostly for birthdays and sometimes when I have been just passing through during the holidays. Peter has all but finished his mechanic apprenticeship, and seems to be enjoying making plans for the future. He has his own racer now, and still helps his Dad work on his racer.
The party was on Saturday night, so Chris and I decided to make a weekend out of it. We stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast just outside the main township, and as it turns out, the house we were staying in used to be owned by one of Peter's friend's Grandparents! I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, considering it was a pretty small country town and all. I quite enjoyed the weekend.
Chris went back to work on Monday, and I headed off to the airport to collect Mum. She has spent the holidays in the USA, visiting family over there. She seemed to have enjoyed her break, and was glad to see Phil and me again.
The rest of the day was spent at home, just organizing my room a little. Peter and Phil want me to swap out of my bedroom and take their room instead. They have the smaller room, so I guess it's only fair. I don't want to give up my closet though! I'm not sure weather the swap will go ahead or not, but I hope whatever happens it isn't too painful.

Bondi Beach. Can you see me living here? I guess I should start saving now.  Posted by Picasa

The argyle cut. This street was carved out of stone by hand. The convicts were used as slave labor to develop Sydney's streets.  Posted by Picasa

We went on the old zig-zag railway up and down one part of the blue mountains.  Posted by Picasa

The blue mountains behind me.  Posted by Picasa

The three sisters... It was way too misty to see anything though! At least I can say I was there.  Posted by Picasa

The Sydeny Opera house at sunset. Posted by Picasa

We caught a ferrie out to Manly, this is the opera house as seen from a boat in the harbour. Posted by Picasa

Manly beach. One of the cool surf beaches in Sydney. Posted by Picasa

I couldnt resist getting a postcard shot! The day was so perfect too. Posted by Picasa

The Sydney Harbour Bridge! Posted by Picasa

This is the tower that we went up. It's the tallest thing in Sydney, and is around 1000 feet I think.  Posted by Picasa

Sydney Harbour from the air. This was taken from a giant observation tower. Posted by Picasa

The costal highway was full of beautiful beach followed by beautiful beach. Posted by Picasa

Feeding time at Coff's Harbour. Posted by Picasa

I got the chance to get up close and personal with the dolphins.  Posted by Picasa

The animal behaviours show was really good, and the dolphins were exelent! Posted by Picasa

I wouldnt want to share the beach with this guy. He's big, but I think he's mostly harmless. Posted by Picasa

The dolphin gave me a kiss as well.  Posted by Picasa
