Every wednesday night at KHB (thats the uni I am studying at in Germany) they have a get together for all the students of the school. The idea behind it is that all the design students get to meet the other design students in different diciplines, and they learn from each other.
Last night we had "asia night". This involved some of the exchange students sharing their photos and videos from exchange programs to Taiwan and Bangladesh. The commentary was in German, but the photos were fun to look at. After the presentations, there was asian food, cooked by my project partner and a couple of the other students in my class. As the night progressed, the DJ got better and there was dancing. Darren was supposed to sing, but we couldnt find a microphone.
The idea of class parties seems like a good one. maybe we should do that at Swinburne.
