The last day of second year.

It's 8.30am, on the last day of classes for this semester. I'm sitting in the Engineering West computer lab. I have never seen this computer lab so empty. There are only about 10 people here. I am nervously waiting for the rest of my group to get here. We agreed to meet at 9am, so I am just a little early.
Today is our major presentation for our Sustainable Communications project. It's worth quite a bit, and most of our mark is based on just 10 slides presented on powerpoint. So I guess you all can see why I would be nervous. The good news is that after this presentation, I am free to just study for the exams. Tonight I will be taking a break though. Chris and I plan to goto Ikea to try and find a gift for my little brother and Cheyne, who both have birthdays coming up this weekend.
Peter, my little brother, is completeing year 12 this year, and today has the most important exam of his life. He will be sitting the VCE english exam sometime this morning, which is weighted the most heavily for applications to university. I hope and pray he does well. The english exam only marks the beginning of the exam period though. Peter has exams for all his other subjects too. One of his hardest exams is on the 31st of October, this is for Specialist Maths. That's the hardest level maths for VCE, and also his 18th birthday. As you can imagine, he's pretty annoyed to have an exam on his birthday. The night of the 31st we are planning on having a nice family meal with David, Nyssa, Grandma and Grandpa. I'm looking forward to the cake. hehe.
My day yesterday was spent going to revision lectures and tutorial classes. I was most annoyed that one of my tutoral teachers didnt even bother showing up for our revision class. It was the hardest subject too... typical! After I realised he wasn't going to show, I made my way over to Prahran campus to work on my design project with Weeksy and Gav. The project was all done by about 4.30pm, then Gav and I went to the bookshop to buy a few things for the presentation. I got a A5 visual diary for the Germany trip and some pens. For the group project we purchased binding stuff, and some clear acetate. So our folio should look pretty slick.
I got home around 6.15, and burned our project to a mini CD, I also made a snazzy front cover for the disc. It looks really professional. I should post some photos of it later today.
After dinner, I went off to Rita's house to discuss wedding videos. We watched some of the parts that she had already transferred to the computer, and watched most of the tape I had recorded on Kelly's camera. The video turned out really great! we have lots of footage to choose from, and hopefully we will be able to put together a really professional looking DVD disc. I'm hopeful that we can get most of that done before I leave for Germany, but I have to be careful to put enough time aside to review for exams!
It's now 8.52, and no sign of Weeksy or Gav. I hope they can find me. Wow, I sound like a panic merchant. I should probably go now, and do some real work. Until next time, -Andrew
