I suppose now that I've flooded my blog with wedding photos, you might
get the idea that my brother just got married to his beautiful wife.
David and Nyssa's special day started early in the afternoon with a
service in the chapel at the hungarian centre. The church was decorated
beautifully, with flowers and bows. After exchanging vows, David and his
new wife stepped out onto the lawn to have some photos taken.
Unfortunately, the weather turned bad, and due to the rain, photos were
re-located into the hall where the reception was being held. There were
lots of photos with Nyssa, as she looked stunning in her wedding dress.
Everybody got the chance to have a photo taken with the bride before the
reception began.
The reception feast was very nice, and I doubt anyone walked away
hungry. After the meal, David's father and Nyssa's father both delivered
rather touching speeches, and we all had a toast to the new couple. Then
there was dancing. Lots of dancing. The band played lots of good music
and managed to get even Nicole up and dancing! It was so good to see the
whole extended families on both sides mixing together so well. Nyssa's
family knows how to dance very well, and I think thats one thing that
the Wheatland side has to brush up on.
Everyone got the chance to dance with the bride during the traditional
money dance at the end of the night. Then David had the last dance and
went away with Nyssa. They returned at the very end of the evening to
say goodbye to all the guests.
All in all, it was a fantastic day and an event I'm sure the entire
family will be talking about for quite some time to come.
David & Nyssa, best wishes, and may your lives together be long and happy.
